Hello, there. Elvis here from @elvis_writes.
I want to thank you for opening and reading this Post. I’m sure you have a few questions. So, let’s get straight to them.
What is “Elvis Shares”?
It is a Blogpost-cum-Newsletter that will update you on various things that helps you grow in your faith journey. As of now, I have decided to publish it 1-2 times per month.
Why start “Elvis Shares”?
I really like Instagram. It is simple to use. I can upload photos/videos, write captions, and post them. It takes just a few clicks to reach followers like you on Instagram through @elvis_writes.
However, it gets complicated when I want to share something beyond Instagram (especially, some links). This prompted me to start this post. As always, my aim is to provide you with content that will build you spiritually.
What will “Elvis Shares” include?
This Post will include some significant updates of the week or the month like:
Song Playlists.
Sermon Suggestions.
Book Recommendations.
Suggestions for Christian websites, and much more.
Top 3 Christmas Devotional Books to read:
Hidden Christmas by Timothy Keller
The New Testament begins not with a dramatic narrative or lofty poetry but with a genealogy. Provocatively, Matthew's gospel includes women in Jesus' family line - something that wasn't customary in an ancient culture, where women were largely powerless and uninfluential.
The Case for Christmas: A Journalist Investigates the Identity of the Child in the Manger by Lee Strobel
Who was in the manger that first Christmas morning? Some say he would become a great moral leader. Others, a social critic. Still, others view Jesus as a profound philosopher, a rabbi, a feminist, a prophet, and more. Many are convinced he was the divine Son of God.
The Case for Christmas invites readers to consider why Christmas matters in the first place. Somewhere beyond the traditions of the holiday lies the truth.
Come, Let Us Adore Him: A Daily Advent Devotional by Paul David Tripp
The wonder and awe of the Christmas season can easily get overshadowed by lights, tinsel, bows, and paper—not to mention last-minute trips to the mall and visits to the in-laws. In all the hustle and bustle, we often lose sight of what’s most important. This book of daily readings for the month of December by best-selling author Paul David Tripp will help you slow down, prepare your heart, and focus on what matters most: adoring our Savior, Jesus.
