Elvis Shares #7: How to Grow Spiritually?
God has used many people and things in my life to help me grow in Him. Devotionals are one of the tools God used to help me mature in my walk with Him. So, when God gave me the opportunity to write a Devotional plan, I instantly said yes.
In May 2022, one of the Global Representatives of the YouVersion Bible App contacted me via my Instagram Profile. And he opened this door for me to write and submit plans on the Bible App.
I want to thank God, for this moment. I had never expected that God would give me such a wonderful opportunity through this Instagram page. In fact, I did not even expect such mammoth growth, in the first place!
Fast forward to 2023. By God’s grace, I had written my Bible plan and submitted it in the last week of January and within a few days, they accepted my plan and now it is live on the App.
I would encourage you to read it and if possible, with your friends. Here’s the link to it:
Here’s the Day 1 of this 4-day Plan:
Day 1
Have you ever felt stuck in your spiritual growth? As a born-again Christian, I know that spiritual growth is something that we all desire. But sometimes, it can be hard to know where to start. That's why I decided to write about this topic - to help you keep growing in your relationship with God.
So, what is spiritual growth? It's a journey that helps us to mature in our relationship with the Lord. As we spend more time with God, every aspect of our being develops. But it's important to remember that growth isn't always a straight line. There will be ups and downs, but what matters is that we become a little more like Jesus each day.
But why should we even bother with spiritual growth? Think about it - as parents, we want our children to grow and develop in every way possible. So how much more would our heavenly Father desire the same for us, his children? Plus, a growing Christian is a living Christian. Your growth is a sign that you are alive in your faith.
How to grow Spiritually?
Three primary disciplines will help you grow Spiritually.
Engaging with God through the Bible
Engaging with God in Prayer
Engaging with God’s People
There are many other disciplines that can help us in our journey of spiritual growth, but these three pillars are the foundation of it all. Throughout this plan, we'll take a closer look at each of these disciplines.
Before we move on, I want to ask you a question: What has spiritual growth looked like in your life? Take a moment to reflect on your own journey and the ways in which you have grown closer to God. Whether you've seen a lot of progress or are just starting out, your experiences are valuable and can help to inspire others on their own journey of spiritual growth.
