The tombs in Jesus’ days were not like what we have today. They were more like caves. They looked probably like this:
As I see the empty grave in this image, I can see the uniqueness of our Christian Faith. It’s as if this open grave is inviting us to behold that it really is empty.
While in other faiths, their devotees must go out to seek God, our God came here on earth to seek us, His creation. The reason salvation is made possible for us is that this tomb is empty today. The reason we are alive is that Jesus was crushed, crucified, and buried. But death was not the end. Jesus was resurrected and so will we be. Praise the God of Victory!
God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, 'I love you.'

This issue of the Newsletter is all about Good Friday and Easter. This issue delivers everything from good songs to good reads, coupled with fun. Of course, it’s not exhaustive, but I tried to include as many things as possible. Enjoy!
Listen:
I’ve found a few songs that I pray will help you. (I am not endorsing any artist, just the songs.)
You Were On The Cross by Matt Maher.
At Calvary by Casting Crowns.
Forever by Kari Jobe. One of the things that I really love about this song is the spoken word in the middle.
Sunday is Coming by Phil Wickham.
Is the Resurrection Unbelievable? by Frank Turek. This is a Podcast episode of the show I don’t have enough faith to be an Atheist, hosted by Dr. Frank Turek. In this episode, Justin Brierley, the host of the wonderfully interesting Unbelievable show in the UK, joins Frank to discuss the evidence for God and the Resurrection of Jesus. Justin has more insights than most because he doesn’t sit in a Christian echo chamber. He engages the best atheist and Christian minds worldwide to debate these issues. He’s heard the best both sides have to offer and will reveal why he still thinks the Resurrection really happened.
Watch:
I’ve found these three spoken word videos by Jon Jorgenson. He has beautifully woven the words which have resulted in this fabric of three videos. Don’t miss these: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Myth buster: Is Easter pagan? Watch this short video by InspiringPhilosphy, where he explores if the claim “Easter is Pagan” is true or not.
Watch this video. What is the best historical evidence Jesus rose from the dead? Dr. Jeremiah Johnston talks about his top seven reasons, based on his new book (Body of Proof).
Read:
I’ve curated these two Bible Reading Plans on the themes of Good Friday and Resurrection. I hope this further helps you mature in your walk with the Resurrected Lord. Cross and Crown, and On Calvary’s Hill.
Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die by John Piper is a concise and powerful book that examines the biblical reasons for Jesus' death on the cross. Piper presents fifty distinct reasons, exploring the theological significance of each one and showing how they reveal the depth of God's love and the transformative power of the gospel.
The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel is a book that presents evidence for the historical events surrounding Jesus' death and resurrection, using a skeptical and investigative approach. It offers compelling responses to objections and doubts about the resurrection, making a persuasive case for its historical reliability.

Crosswords are a popular type of word puzzle that challenges the solver to fill in a grid of intersecting horizontal and vertical words using clues. They are a terrific way to exercise your mind and improve your vocabulary and problem-solving skills. So, I made one on the theme of Good Friday and Resurrection.
